Useful tips to consider when purchasing
a conservatory.
Internal floor area
is an important consideration when ordering a conservatory
though many suppliers will quote external dimensions.
If external dimensions are quoted
then a typical internal depth (projection) is 10.5
inches (275 mm) less than external depth while internal
width is 21 inches (550 mm) less than external width
if using cavity wall construction. That can make a
big difference to available internal floor area.
So, stake out with pegs and string,
as accurately as possible, the internal area of your
new conservatory to show installers when obtaining
quotations. Leave it there until you have obtained
your final quote as a reference.
